I voted the F-22 becouse it has the best of everything. The firepower of a F-15, the stealthness of a F-117, and the manuverability of a SU-37. Nothing can take the plane on.

Cept that in air combat the Raptor has to open its bay doors to launch missiles, which would scream "HERE I AM" on every radar within 10miles.
Its only a 4.5gen fighter but my vote would be for the Mig29. Little difficult to choose one of those other planes you have listed when almost all of them are still in the prototype phase

Currently its said that the launching a of bay stored missile only reguires the bay to be open for less than a single second.
In addition there is work already under way for stealth weapon pylons (since circa 2004,oringinally envisioned as part of the FB-22 project) and fuel pods.

The doors open for a couple of seconds and that isn't enough time to have a missle lock onto the target. Also, the missle needs a constant radar return from the plane otherwise it gets lost. The MIG-29 is an OK plane but it isn't the best. The Raptor is deployed in service, but they aren't makeing many of them.

only needs a radar lock for medium range missiles such as the sparrow. Most air combat manuevering takes place between medium and short ranges where short range heat seeking missiles, guns and cannons are used thus negating all the advantages of stealth technology. Not to mention the fact that stealth only reduces the radar cross-section, it doesnt elimnate it, thus it doesnt make you impervious to radar tracking systems, simply reduces their effective range

Yeah, but you can't maintain that radar lock. There is also few radar systems that can burn though it. An most of those radar systems are either owned by the Americans or on AWAC's planes. Also keep in mind that when you use your radar, you yourself become a target as well.

The F-22 may be over priced, but nothing on the planet can match it. They should have made a fighter bomber version of the plane.

the F22 is a fighter-bomber in the traditional sense, its no good in air combat as far as im aware. All its technological advantages mean nothing in ACM, although i must admit its Super Cruise ability is quite impressive, even the Mig-29 cant boast that. Then again, can the Raptor stand on its tail and climb without stalling? thats whats really impressed me with the Fulcrum

That plane is far from ready. The engine is only 30% done and still has a lot of money to go. I see that the chinese may soon have it and imporve it a bit.
