Not about a new oil find, but instead about shifts in the international industry.

Russia is now worlds number one oil exporter.
As OPEC has been cutting its output to try and drive up and /or keep up world oil prices,Russia has increased its production to capitalize on OPECs cutbacks.And Russia is still expanding its oil production, rather vigorously in fact.

I guess the one thing we missed in our storyline was the movement towards gold in the mix, as well as these "other currencies"... though I guess when you mix them all up in a blender (add oil to keep it liquid), you end up with our Supreme Ruler 2020 "World Currency" :)

This is about new techs used to get more oil from old wells.It will be interesting to see if this ties into that "oil theory mentioned above" in the future.

An oil exploration rig is being moved to the Falkland Islands from the UK .Its being said that there are huge oil and gas fields there, that could be as big as 60 billion barrels of oil....They dont know for sure the extent yet, and estimates have run the ranges as far back as 2001.

This wont make the Argentinian gov happy :lol:
