What is the function of this parameter? Should we calculate it every time we do production mods?

It change the starting cost, but kinda useless since cost is locked to profit (so it even out and after a while you will have same cost as other games). You can also change profit margin, so maybe with changing both you will see a better effect.

It is boring to calculate full cost every time I change the cost or the quantity of needed resources! Assuming that during game costs will change, the engine is able to calculate them... or not? why it needs a starting value when it is only a simple arithmetic action?

What do you mean cost is locked to profit?

And what exactly is profit margin? The price that should world market offer/production cost for minister to start sales?

Oh sorry are you one of those guys who believe BG of an extreme difficult economic simulator? That gdp prodction/demand and inflation influence production cost for most part? I wouldnt want to break your spirit you know. So if so just stop reading.

First of base cost and full cost are basicly the same thing, but you dont worry about that, since actual cost will be the cost after 5 game years. Might be longer or shorter depends how far off the setting are. BG claims few months, well make that few years for modern campaigns. The cost cant be modded by full cost or base cost. It is determined by production and demand in the world. But you can cheat the simulator a little by saying base cost and full cost are the same so importing has less effect, or maybe its even a protection for importing, notice how production cost rise when you first start building a resource in your building or setting production to 0%.

wmmargin, This is one of the settings in the file which are important, same with production (wmnodeproduction) and consumption (wmprodperpersonmin for poor ppl and .wmprodperpersonmax for rich ppl).
wmmarigin determines how far cost and sale price will go. 2.0 is 20% 1.5 is 15% So for 2.0 sales profit will never go higher or lower then 20% of production cost, well sometimes few days 21% or something but yeah. Again i think this is done to protect regions from importing goods, so they dont pay too much compared to regions like US and Russia.

If you test all those setting this will make much more sence i guess.

full cost isn't the sum of the costs of ingredients?

these costs aren't linked with region's salaries?

what do you mean when you say "protection of importing"?
