I now have it generate a Settings.xml file so anyone who knows how to find the pointer for SRU can update the trainer with the following settings <SruPointer>value</SruPointer> in the Settings.xml file. The value you get from cheatengine is in hexadecimal so you need to covert it to decimal then update the value in the settings.xml file. For instance for this patch the pointer value was 0xD4FD88 which equals 13958536 in decimal which is why the settings.xml file shows 13958536. This will allow others to who know how to find the pointer value to keep the trainer up to date as well should I take to long to release an update.

Here is a YouTube video on how to find the updated pointer address:

I actually hate game updates, since it breaks the trainer.

I love the trainer. Keep up the good work

So please excuse my non-coding question

Whenever a game update is released, is it simply just a version check the stops the trainer from working? Or do they actually move the memory address hooks to some other location requiring update?

Anyone have any suggestions for avoiding the patches on steam breaking the trainer?

I've tried not auto updating but as soon as steam detects the game actually needs an update, you can't load it or something.

I had tried to use the "Offline" mode but that didn't stop them. In Steam->Settings, there's also a "Downloads" section which allows you to limit updates to a certain schedule but I haven't tried that one, yet. I have too many other games that I do want Steam to update as necessary.

I've been sick with either the flu or food poisoning plus I now have a full time job. I'll update the trainer this weekend hopefully.

Yes, and couldn't find any info
I've managed to find them (the values) on SRCW but not in SR-ultimate

Ah, ok, I misunderstood your comment.

Since you've already done this for SRCW, I'll assume you know to search for ranges of *Float* values (between x and y). Beyond that, I'm afraid I'm not much help. Gold and resources are pretty easy. But things like inflation seem to rely on several variables, and my efforts at constructing pointer scanners normally fail. That's why, when I want help modifying complex values I let the experts do my work for me :)
