Would it be interesting to make the possibility of navigation for ships on Danube river in the game? In 1944. Germany army carried out the withdrawal of its Black Sea fleet (250 ships) along the Danube. Romania during that operation changed sides and with Red Army carried out several attacks on a convoy of the German Black Sea Fleet. German fleet made its way to Prahovo place in Serbia, and the Red Army in the mean time made defensive positions upstream and created conditions for neutralization of the German Black Sea Fleet. Paul Zieb commander of German Blac See fleat, seeing that the fleet would be sunk by Red Army, order sinking of the fleet in place Prahovo in Serbia. 220 Ships, corvettes, destroyers, patrol boat, transport boat, hospital ship were sunk one over the other to block the way for Red Army flotilla which pursued them. Even today in the middle water level the remains of a sunken German Black See fleet are emerging from the Danube(which is environmental problem).(https://navigation.danube-region.eu/rem ... r-prahovo/)(https://uboat.net/forums/read.php?3,28403,28422)(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_GSh2mN0g8)
Today Danube river is an international waterway so that landlocked Austria, Hungary, Moldova, Serbia and Slovakia can have secure access to the Black Sea.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_waters)
So there would be plenty of reasons to make Danube passable for ships in this game.

Re: Danube river
Would we wind up with the same issue as we had with navy pathing through the Dnieper? That is the question.

Re: Danube river
Of course the question of Dniper should be set. In Europe a large part of raw goods, industrial, comercial goods, mining goods are going through the Danube river.Tourism is highly represented on the same rivers. This would lead to a more realistic approach in economics and transport. They should be navigable throughout the registered waterway.

Re: Danube river
i guess the question was not about the same status or importance, rather about the ability of the games pathing algorithm to use it or rather not use it.milivoje02 wrote: ↑Feb 03 2020Of course the question of Dniper should be set.
