We're releasing a new update on Steam today - Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Joyous World Domination!

Version 9.1.114
  • Map Editor and Modding Features:
  • Map Editor Procedural Generation Added
  • Map Background and Minimap automatically generated for custom maps
  • Map background (water) colour now defaults to blue not green
  • Sandbox, Campaign and Scenario changes:
  • Added new Brazil and Chile leaders
  • Added rubber plantations to Liberia
  • '36 techs updated
  • Map fixes to modern map
  • Falklands Scenario Fix
  • Map fixes to 1936 map
  • Renamed Manufacturing Improvements '16 to Early Manufacturing
  • Change croatian/austrian battlezone in 1936
  • Added Uranium deposits to UK (modern day sandboxes)
  • Added nuclear missile techs to UK (modern day sandboxes)
  • Addex X group to Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo + Slovenia & removed T group
  • Map fix for 2020 maps (lone Argentinian air fab)
  • New Custom Scenario, "Islands"
  • UI Updates and Changes:
  • UI fix for quality indicator on missile designs
  • Added location of units in diplomatic trades, other minor hap changes
  • Various unit picnum fixes
  • New Nerei Textures (M110, M270 MLRS, UH-1, UH-60JA, SH-60J)
  • Added scrap all node facilities in hex, accessible through UI (Hotkey <Ctrl> + <Shift> + <Z>)
  • Added scrap all transport in hex (Hotkey <Ctrl> + <Shift> + <X>)
  • Hap fixes (Iconized Supply Header in land department)
  • Updated GUI level for trump scenarios to use Modern GUI
  • New Map option, capital stars show relationship values
  • Game Engine Changes:
  • Fix rare crash bug where unit paths or targets can be set off-map (-ve y)
  • Fix formation move over X0 (date line)
  • MPSAVE / MPAUTOSAVE file names now start with lobby name
  • Some more adjustments to "Windows Activate" to address some rare alt-tab issues

What about military goods production? Any tweaks in this area since lack of them grinded wars to a halt after a month or two?

And what about roads in early scenarios (AI can not build them). Any events related to spawning roads?

Anyway, great update! :D
Please teach AI everything!

Some notes regarding this update:

- We were hoping to get some more Multiplayer improvements into the update but those have been delayed until early next year.
- We are also working on Steam Workshop support, but again that is still in progress, and we will have information in January on the status.
- Some people have reported a rare issue with alt-tabbing and either freeze-ups or crashes. We have made some changes in this update to attempt to resolve this, but if you are having alt-tab issues then we suggest changing some options under the Graphics tab:
1) Try the game in both windowed and non-windowed mode. (You can still full-screen in windowed mode if your window size matches your desktop size)
2) Try the "Active Window Focus" option
If you are still having issues, send a message to support@battlegoat.com with your Windows version and video card.
- This update is not currently available yet for the Mac. We are working on resolving this but it will be the new year until the Mac version will be released. We also have reports from some Mac players that there are issues with the latest releases of MacOS and the game, and we are also working to resolve those.

I know this has received a lot of discussion, but I'm not sure if this update has much in the way of changes. It does have different levels of effect depending upon the era you're playing.
And what about roads in early scenarios (AI can not build them). Any events related to spawning roads?
At present this is still event-driven. I know that events were added but those may have all been in the summer update. There is work being done on allowing the AI to build roads arbitrarily, at least as a game option, although events are still the most realistic way (real-world based) to make this happen.

So, to clarify this:

- can you confirm that event driven road spawning now exists in '14 and '17 scenarios?
- do you know which events are in question or the approx year they happen?

This update is very SRU-centric. There have been no new events for roads in the GW scenarios/campaigns.

IIRC Brinkmanship is the scenario that uses events to build roads.

can you insert some units in the X group tehh tree ? She is currently the poorest in the game. there are no units at all that would be at least average in the period from 2020 to 2040. a hedicated group was created for the modern age of 2020 +.
Nobody wants to play with the X group in the current schedule. and when it is played aginst it will be easily overwhelmed them because there are no options for the modern weapon in teh tree.

Why do you put in Romania and Bulgaria in the X group? Let them be Balkan countries in X gruop and insert some equipment.
