just wanted to say that i really like that new rail transport feature - makes me not exclude leg troops at once.
and for a first version it works quit well - AI can use it also. Now i have to guard transportation hubs away from the front too.
Although i would rather see the troops loose efficiency while in transport - or at least some deployment delay at target.

I was experimenting with having a supply truck unit have more cargo space to accommodate foot troops, then unloading them where they need to go,
the rails definitely help in moving them along.

Yeah, there are no rail stations. In an ideal case, we would, but I do feel this current option is more AI friendly and really just takes getting accustomed to.

Off topic, but I'm still amazed to see the AI using merchant ships to reinforce threatened colonies - i.e., France and Indochina 1949. Put SRU on the shelf for a while, but bought Great War this week and digging it.
