Question about loans under income and expense report

I know in the expense and income report under treasury I believe there it says loan principle (under income) and loan repayment (under expense). However, I never really figured out how to give a loan to another country? So how do I do that? If say my ally has alot of debt and I want to help them out?

You cannot "loan" or receive a "loan" from nations. If you want to help an ally out just give them the money. The ai nations will give you money if they have it and you need it, I always do the same for them. I wish that feature did exist, but I am not sure the ai could handle it. If they cannot manage their money to start with, it is doubtful they could manage to repay any loans. Heck I routinely have nations defaulting on trade agreement payments.

Oh okay. I think when one nation defaults then they have to sort of automatically take a loan from you or something like that.

As far as I know it is an unused feature. It serves zero purpose.
