Something missing in diplomacy

Something missing in diplomacy
So yeah, why is it that nations who are getting their butts kicked in a war don't try to make peace with their enemies? I've even offered peace to a nation I was at war with after I had crushed their military and taken half their land and they refused. Most other strategy games have their AI try to make peace when in a war they are losing. Why not this one?

Sometimes they even declare even more wars when they can't win one...

Sometimes? You mean 99% of the times red aligned nations blindly declare war on ton of nations so they always loose.
