Can cities be destroyed using any method?

Qn as above. I remember using high yield nuclear weapons on a swiss city during the ww2 era as germany and the city became a ghost town after just 1 hit.

Now in the 2020 scenario, i used multiple high yield nuclear weapons and the city was completely destroyed. Hence im assuming something has changed. So can i use low yield ones and even conventional bombing or demolition using units to completely destroy a city?

Yeah with enough artillery you can completely blow a city off the map if you have enough time and firepower.

Yes they do...abandoned towns with zero population - forever. I would say it qualifies as destroyed city

No if you damage them enough quickly after they reach abandoned town status they will eventually explode and vanish off the map entirely.

I have only been able to wipe a city off the map with bombers from the USA in 2020 scenario. I just used like B2 Bombers and kept bombing the hex the city was on.

Maybe they changed it in SRU since I haven't done that in quite a while.

I destroyed a village in Vietnam using a few nukes once. So that's probably your best bet.

Usually the complex / city is destroyed first, and other buildings remain.
