The Firefly isn't quite done yet but I don't think it is very far off being ready to put into the game. Please share your thoughts (I know the glass needs framing).

Just a reminder.. the Mesh is small enough in game you can use the texture to fake a lot. So I wouldn't worry about some of the smaller details (you could easily fake the framed glass via texture for example)

Of course modelling for arma is going to be less forgiving.. and require alot more polys...
Thanks Fistalis!

I have indeed planned to do the framed glass via the texture as otherwise it would have made the model WAY too expensive poly wise.

I think I've learnt a lot via this project so far, and I'm glad that people are still interested in it.

I think my textures ready, but i've got to try and remember how I made it show up in game as its not doing it at the moment (I did shrink the model too).

I think I just have assign a material correctly and then assign the texture to go with it and I think that should do it. I think thats all anyway.

I think i've figured it out as a test block I made now works. I had to update the plugin for the .x exporter as blender broke it when it updated. For any of you interested, have a look here:

Heres a picture of something that I can finally call almost final. Tell me what you guys think (I think it needs a bit of weathering perhaps?). If you guys think this is ok, then i'll do the finishing touch ups and then move onto making HMS Nelson.

Will do once I'm happy with it, think it only needs a little more work on the texture and then its done.

Heres a few screenshots of a model that I now consider done.

I'm now going to move onto making the HMS Nelson, hopefully I can do some better textures on the new model, as the Firefly was my first attempt at texturing.

@Chris, i'm sending you the .x and the .dds file via email for you guys to have a look/joke about :D

Supposed to be roughly that as per FAA colours on them.

Yup, I'm pretty clueless how to do it though, I did use clouding to add some basic effects to it.
