Guys,

On my opinion it is better to leave rubber in the gameplay and stop the discussion on this topic.

1. Yes, water is very important but mostly only for people. It is not an essential product for world trade and world economy as rubber. For example, you can only trade with water with Arabian and some African countries which suffer from lack of water. Water is scarce and extremely valuable just for these countries but IMPORT of water to these countries is so so small that it cannot play an important role in economy of these countries and cannot bring a high profit for countries that export water.
For example, I played for Liberia and made a high profit exporting water to Saudi Arabia, but in real world it is an absurd.

2. Furthermore, mostly all Arabian countries resolve the problem with water resources by themselves by desalination, underground resources, recycling etc. For example, Saudi Arabia is the world’s largest producer of desalinated water.

3. UN help poor African countries to resolve their problems with water without any profit, so it’s inhumanely to make business on water.

4. We have the agriculture (food) in the game that actually cannot exist without water, so let’s consider water as part of agriculture (food) that is needed for people and is the product for trading. As a rule, countries that have agriculture do not suffer from a lack of water resources.

5. Rubber is very important industrial resource. Natural rubber and the different types of synthetic rubbers are used in many different end-products. The most important is the tire sector, then goes industrial rubber parts, general rubber goods, includes hoses, belting, footwear, surgical goods, and rubberized cloth (in our case, it is consumer, industrial and military goods).

The problem is that we have two types of rubber – natural and synthetic.

So for current moment we already have Natural Rubber Plantations and Synthetic Rubber Plants from Oil/Power in the game.

Maybe we should better think about additional?:
- Synthetic Rubber Plants from Coal/Power,
- Synthetic Rubber Plants from Agriculture (alcohol)/Power

Do you agree?

Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf states are going to run out of water within the next 20-50 years depending on which estimate you believe...
