Is Submarine obsolescence-path correct?

Post by oberkommando »

Some newer units become obsolete before other old ones.
Example.
SSN-52 Vermont to the newer SSCG-6 Sea wolf something that has sense but what about older unit like SSN-773 Cheyenne and SSN-21 Sea Wolf. After the SSN-52 becomes obsolete to the SSCG-6, The older SSN-21 and SSN-773 are not. Is this because this units are somewhat different to the SSN-52 line or it has to do with the region they belong?

I think the line would be:
SSN-773/SSN-774 (773 replaced by 774 not obsolete).
SSN-21 (SSN-773 replaced by SSN-21 working alongside to the SSN-774).
SSN-52 (replaces both SSN-773 and SSN-774).
Buy the time the SSGC-6 (WORLDWIDE UNIT DESIGN ARRIVES), both the SSN-21 and SSN-52 could be still operative.
