Ver 8.0.26
USA starts with the following tech level 43/44 aircraft:
C82
C114
PB2Y-5R
My bet is one of the preq techs has been added to USA start with the others. Recom: Make all three aircraft require Air Force 43 tech.
Known tech error (split from Unit Errata)

Re: Unit Errata
It knows them or it can research them? That's two very different things...Aragos wrote:Ver 8.0.26

Re: Unit Errata
Can research them in 1936--both are 43/44 tech aircraft. Previous versions, I normally didn't see them until 40/41 at the soonest.

Okay, thanks.
Split from Unit Errata since this is about known techs.

no prob, thanks.
As to the aircraft themselves, I recommend deleting the C-114. It was a prototype modification to the C-54 Skymaster (aka, civilian DC-4). It was less capable than the Flying Boxcars, and the USAF never funded the project.

The PB2Y: It was rarely used in its "R" (cargo) version, and was a seaplane. Recommend making it a Tech Level 38 aircraft, and putting it in with the rest of the recon aircraft (and not cargo). It was one of the primary long-range patrol aircraft after the PBY Catalina, but had a shorter range. By the end of the war, both the US and UK had pretty much scrapped them all or used them as supply aircraft (31 were built for just supply as the R models, and 210 were standard recon planes)
