Crash to Desktop v8.0.4.1

So 26h played and this is my first crash. Well done!
This happened with the latest update installed about 5 minutes into the game. Also worth noting is I loaded a save from the previous version.

Have you been able to recreate the crash? Do you have an idea what caused the crash? What where you doing when it crashed?

All that stuff you listed is windows stuff and really tells us nothing.

Recreated only by accident, it happened a second time but is now (seemingly) stable.
The only differences is today I launched through steam, whereas previously I used the SupremeRuler1936.exe and also, I'm playing the new update.

The first crash I wasn't doing much of anything, the second I don't recall.
As of starting a new game the last few hours have been great, but I'll update here if it happens again.

Where you using battlegroups? I haven't had a chance to chase down the crash bug that Ruges mentioned.
