Like expected, AI defense minister tends to build only the strongest designs.
That is particularly criticall in naval sector. Especially in overly expanded class of "destroyers".
So, AI minister tends to build ONLY improved Ise class (and later probably only Yamatos). That is nos good at all. Not only because of waste of resources, but lack of variability. So, are we never going to see any new cruiser or destroyer built?!

Please, do something about that and limit AI megalomania. Maybe solution can be that on every BB AI have to build 5 cruisers and on every cruiser 10 destroyers. Situation as it is now does not make any sense :cry:

The other logical solution would be splitting "destroyer" class into separate battleship, cruiser and estroyer classes. But I suppose that is too much work and the time/resources are very limited....
Any chance of improvements in this sector?

Yeah, spiting up unit designs would be better, battleships, cruisers and destroyers each having their own category rather then having them all in one category.

Bump!

Any hope for AI to actually build cruisers and destroyers.

As the things are now, every player can simply exploit the situation by building submarines. Since AI is too busy building only battleships, there will be no destroyers to fight off the subs.

I would consider this a very serious problem.

Is there any way that AI could know the difference between the BB , CL and DD? Either by tonnage or by unit name prefix (BB, DDR, DD, CA) and choose to build more destroyers and less battleships?
