AI unit movement

AI seems to move all the units all arround, all the time. Land, air and sea. They just move across the region and move.
Why they just don't dig in, defend key cities and borders?? They would be lot more usefull that way, and not to say more economic. By constant movement they burn massive amounts of fuel!!

Any plans to change this behaviour?

I am at a toss up for this feature.

On one hand I am like stop wasting all that oil. On the other I am like, at least they are pulling all of those out of the middle of the country to the frontline.

I think that AI moving units all the time is one of the mayor problems responsible for oil shortage in the game world. And that also leads to crippling world economy and shortages of industrial and other industry based goods.

Is it really necessary for AI to redeploy units all the time during the peacetime??
