I was playing as the USSR (circa 1962) and signed away several missile defense treaties with the warsaw pact states. Having cheated, I had 100% coverage for my missile defense satellites.
Interestingly (I think, unless I've completely missed something), when I deployed my Topols from the strategic pool against the USA, the missiles were shot down by my own MD satellites as they flew over allied airspace covered by the missile defense pact.

Re: Observation regarding missile defense treaty
How do you know yours shot them down?
There is btw no support for savegames that are using cheats.

Re: Observation regarding missile defense treaty
Oh yeah I know cheating is in the realm of game-breaking. Just thought I'd put it out there anyway. Capitals of nations over which the missiles were shot down (my allies with missile defense treaties) publised the news as "successful interception" or something along those lines. I used a trainer to take research really high, so that the ussr had 100% satellie defense coverage in the early 60s.
Im beginning to see the pointlessness of my post though haha. Thanks for your response. Its a brilliant game.
