Suggestion: Let the players nuke themselves

If technically possible I think it would be nice if you could allow the player to send missiles/nukes (understandably not through strategical nuking UI, but by using units to shoot the missiles) to their own territory.

Possible uses:

*Role-playing - destroying an annexed territory in scorched earth spirit, only to release them later, castrated. This is a very sound tactic - you castrate your enemy, then let them rot, without holding their population as a burden.

*Testing - I would love to test different missiles for various purposes and it's a realistic thing to do!

*Scorched Earth - when you have to retreat and want to create a wall of deserted land between you and your enemy.

*When you are a mad psychopath-dictator

Also, being able to access resource nodes under cities!

Alternatively - move resource tiles out from under cities.

this is easy to implement - just allow mines/gasfields etc. to be build in cities - did that in my mods - no need to nuke my cities.
Although i would like to be able to raze them like those industrial centers and mil.bases.
