It is extremely difficult to tell if a hex has line of sight, especially in your own territory, with the current grey shading. Only way you can really tell is if you toggle the button a few times to see the difference in shading.
May i propose to keep the grey shading (no new color!), but perhaps have a graphic over them with a few thin lines going diagonally across the hex to better see if it has LOS or not.

Use Ctrl+G to turn on the grid, that may help you gauge it better. Unless you change the option, the grid is not drawn outside the LoS.

I have the grid on. That does nothing for the LOS inside your boarders, as the grid is always on. The slight shading is very hard to spot if you dont have LOS.
