I think he means the "announcement" about what the next game will be about.

I just want the Ai to be able to do whatever we can in the game. And, it would be cool it is was still a modern era setting not another WWII game (we have enough of those already)

I'd also like to see more than 32 players on a map :)

I'd like about 200. I know this is crazy but I want to have a simulation of the world today running. :)

Also could we have ... orginizations like the UN/NATO which are like alliance groups?

I would guess that this would also need a dedicated server, rather than one comp serving and playing... :-?

SR2020....the mmorpg. You log on and run your country to your hearts content. When you have to say, sleep, or maybe go to work, the AI runs it for you. All done at 1/1 real time, or at least fairly slowly. Wouldn't want to go on holiday for a few days and come back to find your country does not exist. Best part is if you lose.....you just start over on a diff server/map.

Sounds nice, but sadly it would never work.

It would fail for the same reasons most MMO's end up the way they do.

No not lame dev teams, lousy design, horrible CS,etc... thouch those all would probably be a factor.

It would fail becuase it would be trying to represent a Real life situation without one of the main (if not the main) reason people act they way they do.

Consequences.

Unless they are going to throw players in jail (in the real world) or have someone knock them off (again in the real world) players will act far more reckless ,beligerant, and untrustworthy simply becuase they can without facing any real consequences.

Good point. There would be those that joing a game and throw a few nukes befire quitting. However, players of other games of similar scale and scope have got around this by forming groups of like minded, and reliable players.

It took how many years for someone to finally go in and remove Saddam Hussein? Qaddafi is still in Libya. Kim Il Jung anyone? I'm not so sure that factor wouldn't make it much more realistic rather than ruining the game. Your point is well taken though.

U know Chris somewhat told me what the timelime of the next game would be. Course he might have been just typing what he did to throw me off. Then again he might have been telling the truth and wants me to still guess.
