Specific and permanent destroyed unit list

Post by BigStone »

Probably already mentioned....

But i would like to have a permanent list with destroyed units.
Something the same as in the Defense tab - Review All Units - (reserve
deployed etc..)
I'm running currently a masive battle and losing a lot of troops and i'm
a bit tired to watch the green text to see WHICH units i'm losing...

It could also be benificial for "newbies" to see after a skirmish what kind
of units they have lost and figure out a methoth to prevent this...

I don't see this as being of much use unless we also make it track when the units are lost, which is historical data we don't currently store. But we'll keep the idea of both in mind.

Maybe the ability to adjust how long the game saves the green scroll so that it might be reviewed later?

it would fill up very fast and is currenlty not saved at all. George and I had previously toyed with the idea of an option for the status line to be dumped to a log file but that still would have not indication of the date.

Nice to know for replacement purposes

Post by Eric Larsen »

Chris,
It would be a nice player aid to have some idea of which units are destroyed so as to help us figure out what to rebuild. Most times I catch when a unit is destroyed and know what it was but other times it just goes by while I'm looking elsewheres and then I'm not sure what was destroyed so I don't know what to rebuild to replace. There are lots of other things I'd rather see fixed first so this one isn't high up on my priority list.
Thanks,

Actually I really don't care for a list telling me what units I lost but rather a list telling me what units I killed especially ships. That way I know when I get revenge on a unit that destroyed one of mine. Course have to remember what that unit's name was.

Thanks Chris. I meant something more along the lines of maybe the last 20-30 green items would be scrollable for a few minutes before they poofed, instead of a few seconds. I have to agree that this is not on the top of my list either.

( Teach the AI to offensively stack! :P )

Best Regards,

Could you perhaps color YOUR "loss" msg's in red....

the idea of using some color coding in the status lines has already been suggested. We're working on a detailed set of rules for this.
