If a bomber group has an anti-ship rating of 5 and there are 12 planes in the group, does it attack with an attack rating of 60? With a rating of 5? With a rating of 5 twelve times? How does that work?
I notice that ships have anti-ship ratings like 100 times that of bombers. Since torpedo bombers were very deadly to ships I was wondering if the value I see is being multiplied by the number of planes in the group.
Question: number of units in a group and attack value

Re: Question: number of units in a group and attack value
At the moment, naval bombers are basically useless due to low attack values. Just build ships.
The problem with modelling torpedo bombers is that historically the result of an attack was highly variable. I.e. same planes with same torpedoes could do anything from no damage at all (miss/dud torp/thick armour) right up to an under-the-keel instant sinking. This doesn't square well with the SR combat system from what I've seen.
