Hi All,
I'm very new to the game, so I'm sorry if this is a silly question.
I started play as Australia and realised rather quickly that I have good opportunities to trade for units rather than spending time in research.
What I need to know is whether there is any way to compare two units, side by side? The only way I seem to be able to check a unit's stats is to hover over it and wait for the popup, which means I have to attempt to memorise all of the stats.
Is there any better and easier way to compare units?
Thanks!
Easiest way to compare units?

I don't know if this is possible but if it were that'd be great.

Re: Easiest way to compare units?
I do not have 1936, but if it is anything like 2020, then no, there is no easy way to compare units. I myself made an Excel spreadsheet back in 2008 when I started playing to perhaps have exactly what you are looking for. I quickly learned that the units’ stats change depending on what technology you have researched. Everything changes, even the cost of annual maintenance as your economy fluctuates.
For this reason, I abandoned the spreadsheet and just remembered which units are best and started using them.
One further possibility, in 2020, you could view other countries units IF you could see them on the map. For example, if I am Malta and allied with UK, I can see their units and I was able to click on the hex a unit was in and view it in a window titled Military Presence. As you can imagine that is a long and laborious process assuming you can even find the exact unit you want to see.

Thanks GIJoe, I appreciate the reply.
Interesting point regarding changing stats, I hadn't taken that into account. Given that things like training and readiness affects the stats of units, it makes a lot mor sense now.
Thanks again.

Easiest way to compare units? I'd say pen and paper
In-game feature to do this would be great but with all the other stuff waiting to be added/fixes I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
