Annexing China

Playing as Japan...Campaign.

Liberated, conquered, and annexed my colony (Shenyang) in order to build more facilities.

Facilities built.

China declares war, I thrash them thoroughly.

Cannot annex China, can only colonize. (WTF?)

Previously annexed Shenyang reverts back to Chinese, as colony (facilities lost...WTF?)

Russia declares war on Japan....and of course, all of my units from colony (China) are now capturing Russian land and of course it becomes Chinese....

So, in summary:

China declares war, loses, gains huge amounts of territory, gains my build facilities, and is now gaining land through my actions...all because I could not annex them. (WTF!)

What is the purpose of prohibiting the annexation of China?

If anyone answers "Historical", then what would be the point of playing as Germany, Japan, or Italy in the campaign (since of course, Historically, they effing lost).


Fix this absurd restriction.

Sandbox or campaign? If you're in campaign, there are limits based on the campaign.

If you're having problems with events, we need to know which campaign you are playing as and the exact date you saw the events occur.

China declaring war seems scripted....(after March 1939)

Russia declaring war after China is conquered seems scripted...(after China is conquered, after Nov 1939)
