Good question. Thats a sizable update condsidering the whole game is only a few hundred MB if you ignore the graphics folder.

Some things I noticed are:

- You can now set auto repair for theatres
- New Symbols on map (like a symbol for unit lost)
- I think air AI is a little bit more active (not sure)
- I think a new Scenario

I was just getting to posting the Changelog :-? Thank you for the quick notice.

The Steam system of quicker updates is going to mess with our update naming - internally this is called "Update 1", and the small post-release patch we did earlier was a "micro-update". So David is calling it "Update 1.1". But this is all going to get confusing.

To make matters worse, the version number is 8.0.111, but as Chris pointed out it should have been 8.1. How many "1"s do we need, after all?

But there's lots of good bits in this update, and we're already hard at work on more stuff. In particular, some frame rate performance improvements (especially on certain nvidia drivers) and some AI improvements are in the oven right now for the next update, plus more content additions.

Thanks for the continued support.

-- George.

PS - don't forget to tell your friends to get SR1936 on the Steam Summer Sale if they don't have it yet!

Soooo, steam is "complicating" things. "smirks, tongue in cheek"

Only to the extent that it's confusing us as to what version numbers to use ;) Maybe we'll start giving our updates catchy names instead. Five-letter names are minor updates (like "Happy", "Tiger"), Six-letter names are major updates ("Stalin", "Truman"). That way everyone will be equally confused.

Don't want to start a new thread for this.... so i'll just plop it in here.

Found this gem on Paradox forums in regard to HOI4 and on explaining mechanics in the form of tooltips in-game:
I think that any mechanic that's not visible to the player in some way is wasted development time.
- Dev comes in and says its the 4th item on their design document

I wish you guys would take that line to heart. It couldn't be more true and is my biggest 'problem' with SR ... i don't really know whats going on or how things work.
