Why does SR1936 navy units not relate to the real classification?

I don't see how SP1336 DDR includes Super-BB, BB, BC, CA, CL when it can with land units that differentiate between Infantry, engineers, paratroopers, Special Forces etc.

It's been this way since SR2010 and I too have always wondered why.

This has been discussed and updated for SR1936 but there is still room for improvement. Please feel free to add your suggestions to that thread.
