Exact impact of different taxations?

Post by Ozi »

I was wondering what the effects of different taxations are (corporate, small buisines etc.).
In the Manual i found this:
One such example:
lowering corporate tax rates will stimulate additional corporate growth, and encourage
the possible development of business sectors.
I understand the pure words in this sentence but what are the ingame effects of a "corporate growth"? Does it hurt me (as a dictatorship) to set taxes to 95% rather than 5%?

in theory: if you increase too much taxes to corporate or small busines, can increase unemployment, and gradually reduce the gain from taxes because so many them could close.
too many unemployed people can bring down the public support and influence the cost of production!

but theres actually no way to see how well your (non state driven) economy is?
And an (offocial) Explanation of the effects of the other Resorts (low income taxes etc.) would be nice as well

I just asked that here : http://www.bgforums.com/forums/viewtopi ... 69&t=22860

They really need to put this stuff in a manual .... alllllll of it ;-)

The 30 new game tips need to be in a manual.

The minister policies need to be in a manual.

This! This! A thousand times this!

It's been three game iterations with the SR2020 engine, and no one really knows how inflation or employment mechanics actually work beyond very basic supply and demand. Same thing for the exact effect of different taxes, demographs (e.g., taxing high income vs low income), market mechanics, subsidies, etc. Each of these issues could be made crystal clear by as little as a single paragraph from the engine developer, but he's remained tight-lipped for years now.
Routing garrisons can be frustrating, but in a good way. Like trying to open a carton of ready-made custard for your rhubarb crumble, knowing that the rewards will be all the sweeter for the effort.
