F4U-1 is Carrier based also
Hope it will be changed, very important Carrier and landbase Fghtr in the pacific historicly.

I think they are referring to the F4U-1 USMC land-based version. You can research the F4U-4 carrier based version later.

The Corsair F4U was used by both the USMC and Navy. Most USMC squadrons were land based but there were examples of USMC squadrons serving on Aircraft Carriers. As an aside, a number of USMC squadrons serve on Aircraft Carriers currently.

Right, but I think they (BG) have separated the aircraft models. The F4U-1 is land-based (and sort of sucks; the P-39 is better in game) and is replaced by the F4U-4, which is the Corsair we all know from history (Carrier based and used by USMC).
