Petrolium problem

Post by Spookyashell »

As the US in 1938 I produce 3.5M oil per day, usage is 2.8M , I don't trade any oil. But still the stock falls 2.1M each day.
Any idea why that is?

Did you set up diplomatic trades with other regions?

No. I'm even buying all the oil I can get my hands on, but its still in free fall.
Edit: It seemed to start after I annexed Mexico, atleast thats when I noticed it.

Over the long term, I've been having real problems with Oil demands. The issue is the demand by population for oil which greatly outstrips the ability of any country to meet. I liberated China as USA, and suddenly had a daily loss of upwards of 5M barrels per day. Only by maxing taxes and oil price did I have enough to power my armies. I think we need to tweak the population demand somewhat.

I'm stumped, I've passed it along to George. We'll get back to you on this one.

Thanks Chris. I was stumped too. Couldn't understand where the oil went.

Any progress on this? I don't want to start a new game just to waste 10 hours on it before a gamebreaking bug like this occurs and force me to abandon my game. Or is this extremely rare so I probably won't see it again?

As there has been only this one report (with 3 people) I feel confident saying it is rare.

That said, we are still in Early Access so you can still expect some things to be out of balance.

Started a new game now, with the new patch, and it happened again. I give up.
