Issue of colonies taking territory

An example: Playing as the SU I declare war on Poland - all of my colonies inbetween declare war on poland and when i finish it poland is split between all of my colonies.

Best I can think of is to have your troops on the borders ready to invade as soon as you give the go order. That way you might be able to take a buffer zone of land between Poland and your colony so that if they do invade they will only capture land in your name... Bit hit and miss I know but quite apart from annexing all your colonies I am not sure what else to suggest sorry!
