We were playing over LAN today and we were getting a decent time (about 1.30 per day) despite the fact that my laptop is crap. It did have to freeze a few times during the 3 hour session in order to catch up but it didn't crash the game. I think it probably was because we had FOW on and a very large war going on in europe with both players taking part trying to stop the Warsaw pact. musta been well over 1500 units in that fight.

It'd be nice if there was a mod/trainer that let you.. oh I don't know, "delete" any units in a hex?

Thanks for the respones but please use this savegame instead as this one has bigger speed issues (it is one year later and I also seem to have some curious issue with military goods production). Also it seems someone is stealing my military goods  so if some one is willing to take a look at the mil goods thingy :D

Savegame link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/54294796/milgoods.zip

there is no unit production except missiles but they shoudn't use more than 6t a piece...

EDIT: in this save there is a land fab constructing but the issue was even when it was paused so I decided to let it continue hoping when the fab is over the leak will seize to exist :-?
EIDIT2: with all construction finished, I stopped production of any units and the issue is still there...something is spending my military goods and I can't find the culprit

Repair of military facilities? Cargo units filling with supplies?

I truly hope I'm just stupid  but the thing is I can't find and facilities repairs being done, no units are being produced, war ended almost a year ago so there should not be any unit repairs done, all fabrications are deactivated, ALL units in reserve HUH ...I'm clueless so any suggestion where to look is most welcome...

P.S. risking being even more stupid I'll ask: do allies on my territory use my goods for repair?

They would use your goods for supply if their nation had none.

Send me the savegame, I'll take a look. Ticket 16468.

I sent the last savegame available to your e-mail, but if the underlined part is true than that is just not fair :-( I can't even build units while they continue to do this and if you look at Israel they don't look like they are going to leave (they have been there for more than a two years now)

Supplies don't amount to that much and they would have to be completely out. That has always been how the formal alliance situation is dealt with, it's an assumption of good will that you'll supply them assuming they would do the same for you in the reverse situation.

Than it is definitely the amount of their units that is the problem    Have you had the time to look at Israel?

I had a thought -- would it feasible to replace units with counters, ala HOI 3 or a standard wargame? Just make it an option, but if the software didn't have to render so many 3D units, it might greatly increase speed.

It's not the drawing the units that is causing performance issues, it is all the thinking the units are doing. It's the AI for that many units which is impacting performance.

I decided to do some testing to see if all those allied units are causing the military goods leak because of supply treaty.

1. I loaded the save in multi as Finland and declared war to USSR (my sincere apologies to any Finns reading this but it had to be done  )
2. saved, loadad again as yougoslavia and saved again.
3. transfered the game to single player folder and loaded.

Holly cow! It worked!!! The unwanted guests are leaving!!!! :P
Hurray!!!.jpg
I still can't believe it :o  but will this fix my "leakage"?
they are leaving!!!!.jpg
HAHAHAHAHA SUCKERS!!!
suckers took the bait.jpg
Damn! They are gone and my problem is not solved...I'm still losing 818t of military goods a day |O   :x
(and I'm responsible for destruction of Finland as they capitulated in short time :-? )
