1. Hamachi is terrible for gaming.venom462 wrote:me and my friend are playing over hamachi, in the same country and stuff

2. Sync issues are most likely caused by either A internet latency isseus. (see above) or B running on a speed where 1 PC cannot keep up.

DO NOT post the same message multiple times in multiple places on the forum. That is called spam.
Yes, unfortunately sync errors can occur sometimes. We work hard to catch all of these (a few where fixed in update 2) but some are very obscure and hard to find. If you have savegames from before the sync error you could try restarting from there.

Re: multiplayer sync issues
This is still happening. I have played 2 sessions with my mate, where we have been plugged into each others computers via a straight through cable and we have still desync'd about 4 times in the space of about 3 - 4 hours.
Like I said, only using a LAN connection so no himachi or GR. We ran it on only fast so that my laptop could keep up with the game, but it still kept desyncing. Have been trying to find a pattern of things causing it, but have not found any yet (except perhaps large fights involving eiher one of us or both of us using large amuonts of units fighting large amounts of units, with allies supporting, so about 400 - 600 units in total).
I notice the game does stop to resync sometimes, before continuing to play, but these 4 times it never did, so we had to reload from our savegame. I can send some of the MP saves (might have both perhaps, if not, will send you both next time I go play) if it would help you to find these desync errors and eliminate them for good.

Re: multiplayer sync issues
We played a 4 hour lan game yesterday with 5 players, no sync error. We will continue to look for these but until we find the cause we can't fix it.

Re: multiplayer sync issues
Could it be due to the fact that my laptop isnt the best out there? I struggle to play arma 2 on min settings, whereas the other computer plays crysis 2 on max.

Re: multiplayer sync issues
Not sure, our lowest machine was a Dual Core P4 (not "Duo", just dual core).

Re: multiplayer sync issues
If needed I can send the the auto saves from two of my computers where desync is noticed. Not sure if that would be helpful but you could see what the differences are alteast.
