Loading saves for multiplayer

Anyone else having trouble loading saves for multiplayer? Me and a friend played for a few hours until we hit a crash. Then we tried to load from 4 different saves, 2 being auto and 2 being regular. Every time we start it I load, but my friend crashes to desktop instantly when it happens.

Try using the save same file.
Pass your save file to him or vice versa.

Might resolve your issue.
