Re: Map Errata (Toponymic or Position)
Along the lines of agricultural issues, there's a bunch of agricultural hexes off of Iceland's west and northwestern coast. Now, unless there's some sort of fishery complex I'm not aware of, probably should get that cleaned up somehow.

Saudi Arabia has 4 Oil-Gas fields to start the game. 3 are not producing because they are located in hexes that have no oil-gas resource. (no red in the hex).

Actually Alborg = Ålborg and Arhus = Århus.wobber wrote:Heres a few things about Denmark.
Alborg -> Aalborg
Arhus -> Aarhus
Raders -> Randers
Helsinger ->Helsingør or Helsingor
The naval base Slagelse should be called Korsør.

How about United States military bases in Newfoundland? Even after Newfoundland joined Canada in 1949 they remained operational for decades afterwards. Main ones would be:
Harmon AFB: Stephenville, NL
NAS Argentia: Argentia, NL
Pepperrell AFB: St. John's, NL

South Africa, Sandbox, 1949 vanilla.
I just noticed there is a small, unoccupied island off the USSR (in the Pacific) near the Kamchatka Peninsula (north of Petrapovolsk) that apparently is owned by no one. If I wanted to, I could colonize it with an engineer unit (it is currently out of supply). Island is located in the Bering Sea. I think it is Karaginsky Island, which historically belonged to the USSR (and now Russia).
Suggest giving the island to the USSR in all scenarios.

Actually you couldn't since you can't build on U.N territory. But it is odd that Island is outside the Regional puzzle pieces.Aragos wrote:South Africa, Sandbox, 1949 vanilla.

Re: Map Errata (Toponymic or Position)
There is a military complex (with 4x Nav fabs, 1x Air Field, 1x Sea Port) named "SPLIT" on coordinates x:923 y:189 and it should really be on coordinates x:919 y:188 right next to the city named Split. Current position is off by 70km.

Re: Map Errata (Toponymic or Position)
In Romania the following settlements are misspelled:
BAIE MARE - should be BAIA MARE
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baia_Mare
BISTRATA - should be BISTRITA
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bistrita
FROCSANI - should be FOCSANI
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focsani
GHEROGHE GHEORGHIU-DEJ - should be GEORGHE GHEORGHIU-DEJ
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onesti
also worth mentioning that this settlement is actually called ONESTI. It only bore the name of the communist leader(Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej) from 1965 and after the Romanian revolution of 1989 it reverted to its regular name, Onesti.
ROSIORI DE VEDE - should be ROSIORII DE VEDE
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosiorii_de_Vede
SALTINA - should be SLATINA
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slatina,_Romania
Also, if I may make a suggestion, name Iron Gates the industrial centers that host the hydroelectric power stations on the Danube between Romania and Yugoslavia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portile_de_fier
Also, I wish you`d add the Prut river on the map. It forms the border between Romania and Moldova and has alot of historical significance (locally at least) aside from being an important water course. It looks odd to see just a plain there.

Re: Map Errata (Toponymic or Position)
There was a little diversion on the 'wishlist for next supreme ruler game' over in the general discussion area regarding Wright-Patterson AFB not being on the map which I guess I'll comment on over here as its a more appropriate place.
By 1949, if I am not mistaken, Wright-Patt was already the host of a major command (today's Air Force Materiel Command...a big deal in the U.S. Air Force) and had already, by the late '40s, begun to assume its importance as a major research center. It might be worth considering modifying the map to include it.
