Yes, I just bought the CW yesterday, I've played 1000 hours of 2020, and of all things in CW, this was the first and currently most annoying thing for me. I usually name every US carrier, and give other units "ranks" of my own choosing.
If I'm bored enough watching time tick by I'll even name my command unit "president ..." and fly em around in air force one.... Hey when you stare at a screen for hours and hours with nothing to do while you wait years (days in the real world) for you to develop and impliment your army of cyborg laser troopers and super carriers, you get bored...and sometimes you wanna fly your 2 cm digital "president" around your digital globe in a digital plane visiting digital countries.....No....just me then huh?
(apparently the A.I. likes to do this as well, but only in a Naval Transport bound for a country they are at war with)

I'll live for now, but please fix this for next patch. :-?

When you set the victory condition to "capture" everyone gets a command unit. If it dies, your country dies.

Thats the only way I play the game, I forgot most people prolly dont play with the same victory condition.

At the risk of hijacking my own thread...

Captiva, does the AI moves its command unit around in SRCW or it stays put in the capital like in SR2020/GC?

I have only seen it move when it is under attack. The A.I. will move it away a few squares, sometimes a little further.

And every once in a while especially when in a port capitol, it will somehow get loaded into a transport, I have seen em end up in random places around the globe. but that is fairly rare.

The A.I. is the same(or very similar)as 2020, so untill they change it...
