Soviet & US unit price oddities

Post by bvb »

There's some that just seem off, and some appear to be typos:

Tanks: Both types of T-34 cost more than IS-3s and T-54s. Imagine there should be a decent difference in costs.

All AT class units seem very overpriced across the board: A unit of 45 ZIS-3 76mm guns costs 9 million, while unit of 44 T-54 tanks (the most modern in the Soviet inventory) cost under 4 million. Even the towed 45mm AT guns cost more than the T-54s, ~4.5 million. Self propelled AT units are around the same, 5-9 million. Self propelled guns (SU-85, 100, 152) likewise should cost less than IS-2s, T-54s etc, currently they are 2-3 times as expensive, for the same number of vehicles (44 in a tank bat, 45 in AT bat) Towed AT should be, tube for tube, significantly cheaper, probably more in line unit battalion for battalion with the towed howitzers, ~2-300k each.

recon: Same as AT, all cost several times as much as a like number of heavy tanks. 38 T-70 light tanks cost 22 million. 44 T-54 tanks cost 3.8 million

Artillery: The M10 152mm gun (presumably typo) costs 350 million, while other howitzer units are in hundreds of thousands. :)

AA: Same as AT, grossly overpriced (or tanks are grossly underpriced) x40 85mm tubes cost 13 million. x40 37mm aa guns ~12 million.

Cargo ships: The 2 types cost 19 & 34 million, while a heavy cruiser costs 12 million. For civilian cargo freighters, seems extremely overpriced.

*Same thing with US: Prices are all over the place for many units. eg M18 Tank destroyers cost 35 million, while Pershing heavy tanks are ~7 million.

Seems all AT,AA and Recon units are vastly more expensive than Tanks and Infantry

Supporting Nuclear Power in the UK.

Just because the Japanese happened to build one near multiple fault lines doesn't make them any more dangerous than they were before the Earthquake.

Pricing/Build times are an ongoing review element for us. These will be cleaned more with each update. There are a lot of them to go through...
