Modding Tool for SRCW - Supreme Fiction Alfa

Post by BlindStriker »

I developed a small application that explore and changes UNIT files. Currently only supports UNIT files.

Features ;

Filtering and searching in UNIT files (By Categories and Item Name)
Copying Items from one UNIT file to another UNIT file.
Create and Save new UNIT file.

This release is very alfa version.

I also tested application in SR:2020 UNIT files, but im not sure newly created UNIT files are in correct format.

You can download Application and Source Codes ;

Github Link ;

Please let me know any bug you find and please share your ideas and opinions with me.

v0.2 Released

Release Notes
Unit file headers changed, old header replaced with meaningful headers (Close Combat, Air Def, High Air etc.)

Supreme Ruler 2020 support added.

Works fine for me.
Looks like a nice tool for editing UNIT files (spreadsheet type of editing). I'll try it when I get time to do some modding. Best way to test it is by using it.

This reminds me. You may try adding backup option that saves old UNIT file before overwriting.

Hi,

Sorry for late answer. I upload to new version Alfa v0.2 ;

https://supremefiction.codeplex.com/rel ... iew/117067

There are many more things I want to do. But right now I do not have time and frankly i lose interest because i was expecting more interest about this topic :-)

In the new version I will add cool features like "Create Modding Project", "Publish Project" and i support all Supreme Ruler File Formats. I'll also add more user-friendly features. For example you can change units required tech from existing tech tree with tech name, tech id will automatically changed (and all other id based fields). Basically I'll re-code the program.

Thank you for your interest.

Supreme Ruler 2020 support added.

Hi,

When you try to save the file program does not overwrite. Creates a separate file and add current date to end of to original file name. Like ;

DEFAULT-2013125122953.UNIT

Thank you

Hi I am using your tool and it looks good. The only thing that can become sometimes frustrating is that sorting by numbers doesn't do it according to their values but according to the number position (e.g 1731 before 205). One also suggestion, if it is possible an undo function, even for one only action or a reminder of the original value (or even better both!). Thanks and I hope you still work on it.
