 Post subject: Strategic Pool for all countries

is there a simple way to get the Strategic Pool to work for countries other than the us and Russia. i am asking this because on my latest play through as Iran, i have built a lot of nukes but cant use them without the Strategic Pool :-(

You made silo missiles or other types of nukes?

silo launch can only be used with the strategic pool.But if you have any plane capable,you can load the 100kt bombs in planes and drop them on your target.

To add to this, Strategic pool can only be used by the Sphere leaders.. not necessarily the U.S. and USSR. Depending on the mod. I've got my fingers crossed to see the strategic Pool upgraded and expanded in update 3 but if not I have pain in the arse plan to fix this inconsistency. (manually editing every silo based missile to be able to be land launched as well |O )

tanks for the help. i sold all my nuclear missiles to Russia and with the money bought some long range bombers.
also can i use scud launchers without a Strategic Pool because i know very little about managing missiles :-?
edit:who has the strategic pool in modern world Russia or china.

Yes land based missiles can be launched without a strategic pool.. as can air and naval based nukes.. its only Silo based that requires strategic pool.

As to the stategic pool in the modern world mod.. thats kind of a trick question lol.

The latest "release" version its russia.
However the last beta version its China. and the next release it will probably be china.

Ya but since there is no targeting system what happens if your neutral? Who does it nuke?
I've known the menu can be turned on for other nations via a HAPS mod... but its not exactly fully functional without a targeting menu. For example if you launch nukes with France it Nukes the U.S. then the U.S. retaliates against The red sphere leader.. making it pretty much broken for anyone but the sphere leaders.

In your credit I never dug around for which entry it was in the HAPS file because of the targeting issue so props on finding which entry it was.

No the targeting is hard coded. We can't modify that. Which is why I stated that outside of BG expanding the strategic pool system the only thing we can really do is switch Silo nukes to be allowed to be launched by mobile launchers. You can already Nuke Israel as Iran using the regular missile system you just can't use silo based nukes because those can only be launched via the strategic pool.

For example you could nuke Israel already with nuclear tipped scuds, since they can be launched from a mobile launcher already.
