Although loosely based on reality.. this mod is pure fiction. (If i wanted to worry about reality I would go back to poking around in the modern world mod)

Fistalis, is it possible to mod how units use/fire missiles?
I'll explain with this hypotetical situation:
A plane is carrying 30 missiles.
Incoming enemy unit needs 3 missile hits to be destroyed.
A plane launches 5-7 missiles (depending the distance between plane and unit) towards enemy unit.
Result: a huge overkill in missile consumption
Could it be possible to mod the plane (or any other missile carrying unit) not to use so much more missiles than needed to destroy the desired target?

AFAIK... no. This happened in SR2020 to.. the only way around it was tell them to fire.. and as soon as they fired as many missiles as you want give them a different order otherwise they will continue firing until the unit is dead.. usually meaning there are a few missiles still in the air at the time the target dies.

Not as Violent as I want it yet.. but it does a decent job on Very High volatility. It'll start off slow but with in the first 6 months to a year most nations should be involved in a conflict either directly or via proxy.
I'll be adding More events and tweaking relations til I'm happy with it.
Its up by the way, it should please those who want war now without waiting. Or who want massive battles.

So that it goes back to a system more like GC? Interesting idea, especially with modded games I have started to feel that unless the sphere gets more functionality it is rather pointless and just tends to annoy me with sphere changes and alignments you can't control!

Sphere addition is great but for mods outside of ussr-usa conflict (or any other 2 sided conflict) has very little value...it can only cause issues :-(

Not really.. I've tried not implementing it.. and it makes countries not like to declare war. It seems sphere Leanings is part of what the AI looks at when deciding if it wants to declare war or not. This is why the shattered world conversion is peacful.. no spheres implemented..

I wish there was some way that sphere ownership could be dynamic! (And now I really am theorising as I don't expect Fistalis or BG to be able/willing to do this!)

For example it would just be great if you could start up a game and by 1990 the US has become so pitiful because of its extended conflict with the USSR that Canada or Britain step in and take the leadership role, and the sphere's adjust with it... Could really add more meaning into the sphere system I think!
