7.3.7 satalite research gone

When I started the game, sat research was already picked but I didn't have all pre-reqs so I removed it from the current research list. But later I couldn't find it anywhere to start research again. Since I couldn't find it I set the research minister to consentrate research on space race, but he didn't put it in the research list either. Ended up having to restart.

Is there something I missed? Or is research bugged now so you can't remove stuff from current research without the item disapearing never to be researchable?
