what do these HUD elements mean?
Alrighty.. pretty sure 'red' square bracket means MY unit is engaged in combat.
I think yellow square bracket means ENEMY unit is engaged in combat.
BUT ... what does that red tank symbol mean? I think i've seen it in Yellow too... what is it?
Context: Enemy Fighter plane is attacking my tank.

Re: what do these HUD elements mean?
Red = enemy unit occupying the hex
Yellow = neutral+friendly (or friendly+your own) occupying the hex (or something like that, can't remember)

Re: what do these HUD elements mean?
hmm...
thanks for the reply, but not sure that makes sense.
I've had enemy units penetrate my territory elsewhere and they didn't get that red tank flag, despite "occupying the hex" (ergo, just sitting there).
In this particular screenshot, its an enemy plane flying overheard... its not rly occupying anything either? :/
Oddly i've seen these red/yellow tank icons with and without combat. Was wondering if it maybe had something to do with supply state?

Re: what do these HUD elements mean?
Huds normally show a flag, but sometimes units of different nations share a location.
In such a case, you are shown a symbol with the "most critical" relation in the hex. Lowest to highest importance is Neutral, Allied, Enemy IIRC. If all three where there, you'd see a red box. If a neutral and enemy, same. Neutral and ally would show green (it's that last example I'm not quite sure of)

Re: what do these HUD elements mean?
Sorry, ment to put quotations around occupying ( ) as I didn't remember a better word for "sitting/standing/being present in a hex"...Balth explained it, though I think green is your units alone in a hex, and yellow when together with other non-hostile units...is there a light blue HUD also?? I'll have to check when I get home...mattpilot wrote:hmm...

oh, right, blue is for allied, green is for "us". This has been switched for SR1936
