Re: Update 3 Testing (not the actual update)
I have sporadic, difficult to reproduce crashes. They only seem to occur when playing the USA in campaign mode, and only before 1952.
Does this patch have a debug mode? I can't seem to find crash logs in the game folder.

There is no debug mode. Any other reports?

Nope. Thought it might have something to do with overseas forces (the USA starts with lots of them) but the same crashes haven't happened to me yet as UK or France.Balthagor wrote:There is no debug mode. Any other reports?
As narrow as I can get it is "sometimes the player playing USA will crash in the early game" unless some inspiration strikes. Reloading autosaves will not reliably reproduce the crash.

Maybe not for you. I can reproduce the crash everytime with autosaves. I currently have an autosave that will crash everytime I load it.barkhauer wrote:Nope. He means a non-crashing save that will create a 1k save.
Do you have a savegame you can load that will crash for sure within 10 game days? Every time?

Re: Update 3 Testing (not the actual update)
Just happened to me again. Happens quite a bit as the U.S.A. This must be my third or fourth autosave crash, while as North Korea I only ever had one in the two years I played. I've had more as the U.S. in just a few months of playing.Balthagor wrote:He means a non-crashing save that will create a 1k save.

To answer your question I do not have a save that I can load and will crash within 10 days. I do have a save that I can't load at all, because it crashes instantly. It's quite random, but it is happening more as the U.S. in my experience.

Re: Update 3 Testing (not the actual update)
Since making my last post, I took the kids to the park and did some yard work I also set 2 desktops to run US games and left them alone at max speed. Neither has crashed, both are at some point in 1954.
Sorry.
Sorry.

Maybe i put quantities in wrong column... but thanks for looking at itBalthagor wrote: It was broken before it's not any more. I looked at the spreadsheet you sent me back in May and it had no land quantity suggestions so I've stayed with the units and numbers we had. If there's time, we'll take another look.

Re: Update 3 Testing (not the actual update)
I tried saving every 10 days to see if it would crash within that time. I've had no crashes at all. I don't know how, but me saving every 10 days stopped the crashing, or maybe I've just run into a spot of good luck.

Ever had that thing happen to you when you were sick and when you came to the doctor you just weren't sick anymore so you couldn't "show" to the doctor what's wrong with you?Big Punisher wrote:I tried saving every 10 days to see if it would crash within that time. But then, by the time you got home you were sick again?

Maybe already known but when clicking spy options as UK, crash to desktop. Will try and reproduce.
