Re: My Ffrigates and patrolships
Check your ships fuel...if it is out of fuel, send a full supply ship (be careful that the ship has long enough range, a big enough supply cargo capacity and that the supplies are loaded before sending it to open seas).

AI shoul'd not be able to send ships to destinations which are out of range. Maybe small patrol ships shoul'd be limited to territorial waters only....
Please teach AI everything!

I think that in case of out of fuel A.I. must send supply ship automatically.Zuikaku wrote:AI shoul'd not be able to send ships to destinations which are out of range. Maybe small patrol ships shoul'd be limited to territorial waters only....

No! It's just stupid to use patrol ships on open seas and to send short legged ships to destinations they can not reach.Tremere wrote:I think that in case of out of fuel A.I. must send supply ship automatically.Zuikaku wrote:AI shoul'd not be able to send ships to destinations which are out of range. Re: My Ffrigates and patrolships
AI does not send any supply ship to them! Probably I turnd off so which one is the full supply ship? Because I tried to send merchant ship with a supply truck it did not work.
By the patrol ship was just patroling between my cost and Italy then stopped!

As for me patrol ships is useless.Zuikaku wrote:No! But in some cases ships stops in open sea without fuel. For example after annexation of another country.
If all this ships will resupplyed automatically by AI, it will be useful

Re: My Ffrigates and patrolships
Fellows,
Patrol Boats ARENT supposed to be sea-going, blue-water warships. They are coastal (in the US, the smaller Coast Guard cutters) or shallow water (like the Persian Gulf) ships. Bigger than World War II Fairmiles and PT boats, but not Frigates.
Don't send them from Costa Rica to India. They won't make it unless you have a a tanker or three to get them there.
The problem comes from the AI--who treats a PT boat like an Aircraft Carrier, and tries often to send them on the great crusade to liberate Yemen from bases in Cuba.

Stay calm or the boats will sink !burock82 wrote:Guys they supposed to be patrolling on my coast!! antway my problem is that which unit will re-fuel them? in the meantime i checked all of them have %50 supllies!

Ok, try this. Get a patrol boat at one of your ports. set it to patrol from the port to the open sea, where you want it to go. It will refuel at the return trip at the port every time.
If you want other patrol routes, you can set up a tanker or AO (oiler) to act as a fuel point. Have boats go from port to the tanker back to port. Or, set up more than one tanker and have the ships go from tanker to tanker to port, etc. and you have your patrol route.
You can bring the tankers back to port when they get empty....or...you can get a tanker to go from port to tanker on patrol and keep your tankers fueled up.

You can also order the tanker to Escort the ship.

There you go bark, making it too easybarkhauer wrote:You can also order the tanker to Escort the ship.
Yes, that works as well--tanker escorts ship (or have the Escort follow the Tanker instead; that way they don't get too separated) back and forth to port.
