I had a simple question, Does funding an insurgency or supporting a government/opposition do anything, or am I just wasting money on nothing?

It effects DAR and MAR.. outside of that I've never seen more effects although I remember being told that it could cause other effects.

Somtimes I see a coup happening in countries where I founded the opposition/insurgency.
Im not sure if it wouldnt have happened anyway though.

This is one of the features that could be more transparent.

Once I taugh I had caused an insurgency in Turkey, then I learned that 3 insurgency happened between 1950 and 1989.
Fail.
But no you can't. Funding insurgency and opposition is just for RP but does nothing. I think that when a insurgency is on going(Cuba or malaysia by exemple) it can make the futur gov more favorable toward you.
Bg will change this in a futur update.

That is incorrect, George has confirmed for me that it does affect the stability of the target government. The effects of an unstable government may not be as severe as some would like, but there is an effect. If nothing else, it causes them to spend more money to get the same approval rating in their region.
