FIRST! - Great work BG. Just tested out the colonize feature and made canada a colony to the US

also - for anyone else that bought the game on steam - make sure you turn steam off or the automatic update off. while installing the patch it kept downloading the old files

this game is all about the processor, not so much the graphics. it's all calculations. have to upgrade the processor if you want to have it run faster. not much BG can really do any more about that. they fixed the massive ai unit spam

Performance during active war situations with lots of units is still a target for future improvements, though Update 2 makes some very good gains in this area.

Regarding Steam purchases, the update being pushed from the steam servers directly should be online very shortly. Running the stand-alone updater with a Steam version sortof works but causes steam to get confused and randomly revert the change, until the steam-pushed version gets sent.

One note - there is a small difference in the Steam version of the update where the "build facility" sound feedback (the hammering sound) is not present any longer.

Is there a reason why Burma still have very bad Casus belli with all nations? I mean historically? It has been reported previously and noted by Balthagor :) i was hoping it was fixed since i like to play them :) I'll pick Vietnam for a change (in fact not really hehe)

Thanks BG

A well deserved rest is called for I believe.

I am sure you have further updates plnned for the future but I am also sure that unless there is a major break found, the community will understand that you will be busy working in Secret for a while.

Just gonna download now and pack kids and wife off to relatives for a few weeks. They call it a holiday and I call it FREEEEEEEEDOM

Save game will probably load fine. But you won't have all the new stuff.. maybe the .exe bits but not the database stuff.(units, nations etc)
So if you really want to finish your game you can. But to see all the stuff added in update 2 you'll need to start a new one.

Just a quick one but it seems I am just downloading a unidentified file and not an exe file ??????

Is it a zip, winrar or something?

Edit: I have just used the link posted by someone earlier and it is a exe so at least I have it now installed.
