Update 2 ETA ?
HEY! Somebody had to ask!
When?
Any chance of getting it before 9/2 @ 2pm EST ?
This is a long weekend on the US (Labor day) and I'm going to be out of internet access but I'll have my Macbook ... I stopped playing SRCW after I found the issue with the research.... Kinda killed my current games...

Re: Update 2 ETA ?
While I am not expecting or beating down doors in anticipation of a Update 2 in the near future, I must admit that I am much in the same boat as Draken.
I pre-ordered SR:CW and played it immediately when it came out and enjoyed the initial run of fixes that were quickly implemented. However, as I noticed and read more about the research problems, I stopped playing and haven't played since. For hundreds of units to be missing from the technology progression, I just can't justify playing the game as opposed to SR:2020 for my fix of World Domination.
To me, those units are that important. If I'm playing a pro-commie state, I better be able to move from T-55, T-62, et al.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that Battle Goat is hard at work and will deliver us fixes and implement new features as time goes on. I didn't waste my money. That said, I also won't play SR:CW until my largest problem with it is alleviated, so I'm always dropping by the forums to see if there's been any news. I'm just as anxious as the rest of you for more SR goodness.

My guess would be the 16th. But I'm as clueless as everyone else.

I know that the traditional answer around here is "when it is ready..." but...

Re: Update 2 ETA ?
is it possible to get beta-patches (like in ARMA2)?
so a few marginal problems can be killed in the game
i'd be pleased

I check this forum every day.
However, the new information about next patch does not come.
I want new information.
It becomes hope.

"It will be ready when it's ready"
This sort of responce IMHO is just not good enough when patches are released between fairly long intervals. I would not mind so much if there were more frequent releaes but to be honest, Paradox has reduced me into a miser when purchasing anymore of their games due to exactly that statement and I would not like battlegoat to go down the same route.
I have just got sick of long waiting times for patches when some of the major issues can be fixed and released as small patches much earlier. Surely I am not alone in this belief ?
Fix patches should be released as often as possible and the community should be kept upto date with what is being looked at. To simply state it will be ready when it is ready is really turning me off as a customer lately.
Flavour patches and patched in enhancements can be released less frequently and in this scenario, the phrases it will be ready when it is ready is less frustrating to hear.
I am nearly 40 so I guess I am starting to get grumpy in my old age
