Giving a conquered country independence(again)

Post by Glen-livet »

Example:

Germany conquers Belgium, France then declares war to Germany, and takes over all of ex-Belgium teritory... Then France gets only once an option:

A: Leave it as it is
B:Give Belgium independence ( this emerges some explanations: if Belgium is born again, she will return her old debt if she had it, but without any money, this can also give an option to France , to give up for example 1/4 of her treasury and give it to Belgium, or to do simply nothing, and leave Belgium to raise credits to regain financial stability )
I don't know if someone already mentioned this .
If you don't understand some parts I will explain.
I think this won't be too hard to make it.

Sorry for bad english

This would be a very nice feature to have, and would lead to some pretty realistic situations. Although It should be one of those option that can be turned on or off i think.

i think this is a great idea but should only be used if say france had an alliance with belgium before they were taken out. if france didnt have an alliance with belgium then belgium would just become part of france.

Why only once ?Id rather see this as a possible option as long as france holds the ex-belgium land. And i dont see why an alliance would be required.

Althou they would be your ally after grating indepeds.

Why should we wait until after we recapter the entire nation, a city should be fine. And why as only if i recapter why not if i am the germans and i creat a new colnie/vasal/ally/extra called bellgem.

Remeber they will reform with out a defence force, but unit trading could fixe that.
You plastic soldiers i will turn you in to real soldiers

If this were added I would like to add the ability to create puppet regimes.

This could range from deciding who the nation could deal economically and politically with to having military troops/bases all over it and controling its military.

Being able to put a type of government in place would be great, especially if the game uses some of the "type of gov equals action options available to it" suggestions that have been made.

As i said, I didn't analised my idea, I've just wrote it and that's all.

Think of WW2, when Allied forces landed and started to liberate west Europe countries, and also remember of creation east Europe puppet states!

France and the Netherlands also had the idea of territorial aquisitions and pupet regimes in Western Europe, but were both thwarted by Eisenhower & Chuchhill.
