Hello having a problem with Gamranger i have Supreme Ruler 2020 Global Crisis and my friend has Supreme Ruler Gold just wondering why i can't join their game and they can't join mine?? when we host??

I find it pretty stupid considering the fact there is no difference to Gold / Global Crisis and i can get it to work on Hamachi but doesn't work for more then 2 players

We also have great internet connections too

Do you both have the same numerical version of the game? If one has 6.8.1 (or any other) the other should have the same version for it to work.

If they are both the same legal ver 6.8.1, its not a SR problem.

My guess would be a routher problem, one of you has a router and one does not or one of you has a double IP for multiple log ins.

Its not a connection problem because we can join Cold war just fine as well as other games that we have



BUT since i have Global Crisis and they have Gold it won't allow us to join both bought it from a Retail store just like i did

The only thing I can do is point to facts, game is years old and no one has ever complained about this before, gold vs GC. Not ever been an issue. The issue "seems" to be you and/or the other players, ergo, it must be something specific to one or all of you.

Does either of you have ANY type of mod installed, used to be installed, files fiddled with at all? I have been in MP games, as recently as a few weeks ago, where someone swore up and down their mod would not affect game play. We could not connect. After they disabled it, we connected fine and played for hours.

I can only go with years of evedence to conclude it has nothing to do with Gold vs GC, however if you truly believe it does, (and this would be the very first time it has been reported), I would suggest you email Mr Latour.


As an aside, I have never had a mod installed on my system and would be willing to meet on GR to help you test connections.



Edit: Patriot, I have connected with you before and sucessfully played, which do you have Gold or GC?
