suggest some countries for a multi player game.

Post by kxx »

Can someone recommend me countries for multi player games?

#1 they must be ~equal in force
#2 they must be next to each other so they can fight a war.
#3 countries in the direct neighborhood should not join the war, or should join it in a "balancing" way.
(#4 countries should be not too small)

Which pair countries would you suggest. My first try will be india vs pakistan?

Poland vs. Ukraine, Norway vs. Finland, Colombia vs. Venezuela...
Also Africa might be worth looking into.

It might be more enjoyable to play in the shattered world scenarios. This allows you to play as smaller entities which are easier to handle and quicker to get up to speed for MP.

Yeah, in this case the US States and Russia have some good picks, just be careful, as some get left out of some pretty powerful units.

For the US, it's been a while, so I can't quite remember which are good matches, but I'd say make sure they both have access to the M1A2, or both don't. Because if one does and another doesn't, you can tell the imbalance ;)

I've always done France Vs Germany, as Germany has a stronger military, but France has a few other things going for it, such as it's overseas territory. Also, you could argue that France has better aircraft (such as the Rafael), whereas the Germans have better ground units.

Interesting thoughts. In what ways do the overseas possesions of France help it fight Germany? Do you build miltary fabs over in South America and South Pacific where Germany cannot get to them and try to hold the line till production ramps up? I might have to try that out if so.

Yeah, I use it as a backup plan, If Germany Overwhelms the mainland, I have fabs on my overseas areas ready to build a reclaiming army. Also I find it's fairly easy to win the seas as France, in part of course due to the AI's sea limitations, but also I personally think France starts with better naval options. Also, sometimes I end up in a spree of land grabbing tangents in South America XP

I suppose if you absorb South America that gives you a lot of breathing space to build up for the eventual return to Europe. Excellent.
